I currently use Davinci Resolve for all of my video projects, but have extensively used Final Cut Pro X in the past. I prefer Final Cut Pro as the effects are a bit more intuitive, but Resolve is free.
This video navigates the viewer through the process of installing the down tube cable cover on their ebike. Roadio is a company that makes dashcams for ebikes that connects with your phone and can continuously record 360 video. The company had started D2C sales when I began my internship and they needed video guides explaining how the install process worked. I filled this role and this one of several videos that I made to complete this task. I worked at Roadio during the summer of 2024 and I got the job by meeting the CEO in the Transbay tube on the BART.
In this video I display my process for making one of my lamps. This video was intended to be posted on tiktok, but in retrospect it is far too long for the visual pay off at the end, so it did not do very well. I called it the fish lamp becuase I thought it kind of looked like a fish tank when the light string twinkles inside.
For some reason this video got 10,000 views within a few days of posting it.
This isn't a great example of my video skills, but its still a funny project. I converted one of the PCBs that I use in my lighting system to control the washing machine at my old apartment building to get free laundry.
